Raising Funds To Make The OACC/Hye Doun Better!

Thank you for showing interest in helping the OACC/Hye Doun fund items that will make the facilities more safe, comfortable, and fun for the community! 

The following is a detailed list of some of the items that you can help fund (partially or fully). There is a form at the bottom of the page to select which item(s) you would like to help fund. After you complete the form, we will reach out to further discuss your generous donation! All donations are eligible for tax receipts.

1. New air conditioning unit: the A/C unit in the building does not work and with the hot summers we have in Ottawa, having air conditioning will help us greatly. Estimated cost: $5000-7000
2. New furnace: As we all know, the Ottawa winters are cold and we felt it during winter liturgies! The current heating system being used in the building is oil-based and it’s very costly. Making the change to an energy efficient furnace will save us a lot of money that can be used for other things. Estimated cost: $4000-6000
3. Outdoor shed: Storage in the OACC/Hye Doun is limited. Having an outdoor shed to store equipment we use for our community events (e.g. tents, sports equipment, gardening tools, etc.) will help us keep the building nice and organized. Estimated cost: $500-1000
4.  Bouncy Castle rental: For the Armenian Fun Day we plan to host in September, we were looking to rent a bouncy castle for the children of the community to enjoy! Estimated cost: $700
5. Popcorn machine: As we begin to host more social events at the OACC/Hye Doun, such as movie nights, game nights, fun days, etc. we think having a theater style popcorn machine will give our event attendees a delicious treat to enjoy. Estimated cost: $300-400
6. Snow cone machine: Just like the popcorn machine, we think having a snow cone machine will give our event attendees a delicious treat to enjoy during summer events such as the Armenian Fun Day (in September), Vardavar, picnics, etc. Estimated cost: $100-200
