Noraïk (Նորայգ) Dance Ensemble of Ottawa, officially opened on February 21, 2019 under the direction of Anna J. Bedrosyan, founder and choreographer.

Noraïk Dance Ensemble is new in the capital region and for the first time in Ottawa, Armenian dance lessons are being offered to kids and youth entirely on a non-profit basis.

The studio accepts girls 4 years and above and boys 7 years and above, as well as teens and young adults. Special classes are also offered to adults and seniors.

In its short time, Noraïk made its debut at the St. Mesrob Church’s 40th-anniversary event and performed at both the Serbian and Lebanese festivals soon after. Noraïk was invited once again to perform at the Lebanese, Serbian and Ukrainian festivals in Ottawa, which are still to take place. The ensemble currently has 37 registered students and 10 new students who will officially register once it is safe for the studio to reopen its doors.

The main objective of Noraïk Armenian Dance Ensemble is to teach the children and youth of Ottawa about cultural and folkloric Armenian dances in an enjoyable and friendly environment. Noraïk studio also makes an effort to introduce our culture to non-Armenian groups by participating in different shows and festivals.
