St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church of Ottawa is hiring now:
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

This position has been made available through Canada Summer Jobs program, which aims to help young Canadians develop the skills and gain work experience to successfully transition into the labour market.
Position Details:
Duration: ​8 weeks, Full-time (35 hours/week)
Start Date: ​ June 24, 2024
Salary: ​$15.50 per hour

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Data Entry: Inputting and updating information in the database.
2. Address Corrections: Ensuring address accuracy within the database.
3. Filing: Organizing and maintaining physical and digital filing systems for efficient retrieval of documents.
4. Website Updates: Assisting with content updates and maintenance of St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church of Ottawa’s website.
5. Other Tasks: Undertaking miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
• Age Requirement: Between 15 and 30 years old.
• Legal Status: Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of employment.
• Work Authorization: Be legally entitled to work in Canada and possess a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) at the start of employment.
• Proficiency in oral and written English communication required, proficiency in French and Armenian is desirable and considered an asset.
• Ability to organize tasks efficiently and effectively manage workload.
• Capability to operate effectively both independently and under supervision.
• Competent in setting and meeting deadlines within a dynamic work environment.
